Dr. Monroe is a native of Bethany. When she was 4 years old visiting the vet with her mom and twin sister, she was able to help with her dog's exam and listen to his heart and lungs. On the way home, she told her mom she wanted to be a veterinarian. She completed her undergrad at Eastern Illinois University before being accepted at the University of Illinois Veterinary Medicine program. She graduated in 2024 and has moved to Decatur. Dr. Monroe is ready to help your pets live long, happy and healthy lives. Her animals at home include cats, dogs, horses, beefalo, goats, a rabbit, axolotls, mice, a ball python and a bearded dragon.
